Summers Family Update

We have included several more pictures of our adorable 1 month old daughter, Ashton. We had her 1 month check up on Wednesday and everything looks great. She now weighs 8 lbs. 10.5 oz. and is 22 inches long. We have a pretty good routine down now and Ashton is sleeping pretty well so that Mommy and Daddy can get some sleep as well. Some of the pictures here are from Karson’s 6th birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese a couple weeks ago, random pics that Shelly took of Ashton, the Halloween outfit Ashton wore, and some other fun pictures. We really haven’t had to prepare dinner since Ashton was born because friends and family have been very generous and have brought meals almost every day. We have been spoiled and very much appreciate all of the help. Today we went over to Pekin, IN to celebrate Grandma Hobson’s 70th birthday party. There were a lot of people there and it was a great chance for family and friends to meet Ashton who otherwise may not have the chance to see her for quite awhile. Chuck has been planning on finding employment right after graduation, but recently has been offered a great opportunity to get his MBA from the University of Louisville in their accelerated 13-month full-time MBA program. Chuck had dinner with the associate dean a couple weeks ago with no intentions of getting his MBA quite yet, but she was impressed with Chuck and would really like him to be part of the program. There are still some questions to be answered, but it is a great opportunity and we hope it will work out for the best. Tomorrow, November 8, 2009, we will be blessing Ashton in church. Chuck is nervous about blessing his first child, but is excited at the same time. We’ll try and post pictures of Ashton in her blessing dress, which Nana Sullivan made for her, in the near future.

Chuck and Shelly,
These pictures are wonderful. We showed a picture of Ashton and you, from Ashton's blessing, to Sister Sadler today. She thought Ashton was a beautiful baby. She has a cute smile, too.
Love,
Mom and Dad
